The weather was gorgeous! Traveling down to Falmouth for a great day of charter fishing. Daria Aho caught this beautiful sea bass while fishing with her family and her soon to be husband! The woman have the touch this year for catching the biggest fish. The bigger striped bass are starting to show up but before then we are taking advantage of world class sea bass fishing. The family caught over 200 sea bass on an afternoon charter. We let go anything under 20 inches, keeping only the big fish. We fish all lures and light tackle so the fish really give you a great fight. Also, the fish can be released in good health. What an afternoon off Cape Cod sport fishing! This was the first time these anglers have ever fished for striped bass. Everyone got to catch a fish on their charter. We were casting top water to feeding strippers. Watching a trophy stripped bass come up and engulf your plug is an amazing sight.

Another great fishing trip with Eric from Hairball Charters out of Falmouth, Cape Cod. He absolutely knows these water!! Went out for the morning trip and caught our limit of black sea bass in an hour. We then shifted our focus to Striped Bass and before noon had our limit of those as well.

We caught giant sea bass on lures with ultra light tackle, lots of these trophy sized fish would tare drag out many times before landing. We caught the striped bass on shell squids on the surface watching them leap out of the water devouring the skirt. I would highly recommend this fishing charter to anyone one who loves fishing and having a good time doing it with a great captain. With the weather so calm these boys traveled down for their second striped bass charter. All morning we casted top water, watching these bass destroy these anglers baits. The total amount caught was around 30 fish with one over 44 inches long.

We’re now headed back out on a family fishing trip for giant sea bass this afternoon. The sea bass bite has been epic this summer. This fall should be great for tutoug, given that people do not want to travel as far on my Falmouth charter fishing boat.

Nighttime striper fishing with live eels can be amazing. It was an incredible moonlit night evening with light winds and perfect conditions for pitching live eels on light tackle. The night started slow without any bass showing on the depth finder. With a little persistence it wasn’t too long before the words “I’m on” echoed through the night air and the unforgettable sound of the singing drag. The bite lasted for two hours with 13 fish caught. This picture is the largest striped bass caught that night weighing around 30 pounds. What an enjoyable charter with great people.

Stripers and black seabass are a great way to bring friends and family together. After a great day of sport fishing it is so rewarding putting your catch on the grill for a fantastic seafood dinner.

These anglers travelled down from the Worcester area. They were so excited to bring their catch back and put some on their smoker, seeing that he is the owner of a barbecue restaurant. Great job guys!

The weather has been a real battle this spring but we have managed some great striped bass fishing. In this picture the angler was using top water plugs catching stripers from 30 to 43 inches. The warm weather has finally arrived putting us in a transition stage so fishing has fluctuated from lots of trophy striped bass to great action were plenty of 26 to 34 inch fish. I am excited and ready for the Chesapeake Bay stripers to arrive as the waters warm up on the south side of Falmouth area. These trophy striped bass should be in the 40 inch range, making July and August a great time to book a Cape Cod fishing charter. We have been leaving out of Falmouth Harbor and Cape Cod Bay.
