Cape Cod Striped Bass fishing in July is just as good as the early season, but the travel time is a little longer as we have to go to: Martha's Vineyard, Gayhed, Nantucket, Nantucket Sound, and along the Elizabeth Islands. This is why we only offer full day charters from mid July on.
Hungry schools of bonito start to show up in Vineyard Sound in late July. Pound for pound the bonito is one of the best sportfishing species around. Cape Cod bonito fishing is exciting because they fight hard, they're beautiful to look at and they're great tasting.
Bluefish are everpresent at this time of the year. They are also a good fighter – great for family trips where young recreational fishermen like constant sportfishing action. The first three weeks of July offer that opportunity to do a combo charter where we fish for striped bass and bluefish close to Falmouth where the waters are calm.
